Strength tests on Logic Workout exercises

The Logic Standard. The Logic Athlete.

Two strength tests on Logic Workout's own exercises. The Logic Standard asks every movement for its Strong level — the bar for a body that holds up. The Logic Athlete asks for its Athlete level: numbers to chase, for people who compete. On a Logic ball, the level you can do is the load.

The Logic Athlete test in the app: its body map and targets marked Aced and Pass

The level is the load

No plates. Harder levels.

A barbell asks what weight you can move. A Logic Workout exercise asks what level you can do — a harder level is a heavier lift. Each band asks for a level, and the reps or seconds to prove it, on a scale set for your gender.

  1. Injury Risk

Short of the first level the exercise asks for.

  2. Healthy

    The first target.

  3. Strong

What the Logic Standard asks of every movement.

  4. Athlete

What the Logic Athlete asks of every movement.

  5. Legend

    Clearly past the top target.

The level and volume each movement asks for are in the app, on the exercise's own ladder.

How it works

Test. Train the gap. Retest.

  1. Watch the level

Every level has its video. Pick the one the target asks for.

  2. Count or time it

A big counter for reps, a timer for holds, and a save for each side on one-sided moves.

  3. See the band

Each target is marked Failed, Pass or Aced, and your body map colours in, muscle by muscle.

  4. Train, then retest

Tests and workouts share the same levels, so a result tells you where to train. The Evolution chart shows the climb.

The two tests

Two bars, one ladder

Both tests read their targets straight off each exercise's own ladder, so passing a target and reaching that band on the exercise are the same thing. Men and women each get their own movements.

  • Clear every target.

    The Logic Standard

The bar for a body that holds up: enough strength everywhere to live your life and play your sport, with no weak links. Every movement at its Strong level, across the whole body.

  • Athlete-level numbers to chase.

    The Logic Athlete

For people who compete. Well past what daily life asks — the bodyweight strength that carries over to sport, at a level even seasoned athletes have to train for. Every movement at its Athlete level.

Common questions

What is the Logic Standard?

A strength test on Logic Workout's own exercises that asks every movement for its Strong level: the bar for a body that holds up, with enough strength everywhere for daily life and sport. Men and women are each scored on their own scale.

What is the Logic Athlete?

The step above the Logic Standard: every movement at its Athlete level, the top published band. It is for people who compete — bodyweight strength that carries over to sport, at a level even seasoned athletes have to train for.

How do you test strength without weights?

On a Logic ball, the level is the load. Every Logic Workout exercise has levels from L1 to L5, each a harder version of the same movement. A test asks which level you can do, and for how many reps or seconds.

Why levels instead of weight?

Logic Workout is bodyweight training on the Logic ball, so the climb is in the variation, not in a plate. Each level is a harder version of the same movement: the level you can do is the load you can handle.

Do I need the Logic ball for these tests?

Yes. The Logic Standard and the Logic Athlete use Logic Workout exercises, which are done on the Logic ball. The gym and track tests — the Logic Carryover, the NFL Combine events and the Army Fitness Test — do not.
