Would you pass the Army Fitness Test?
The U.S. Army's fitness test since June 2025, built from around a million recorded results and scored separately for women and men. Logic Workout covers the four events you can measure without a sled — deadlift, hand-release push-ups, plank and two-mile run — and points you to the workouts that close the gap.

The events
Four events, a pass mark and a max
Clear the pass mark and you pass the event; reach the max and you ace it. The scales are the Army's own, approved on 15 May 2025, for the 37–41 age band.
| Event | Men | Women |
|---|---|---|
| Deadlift, 3-rep maxThe heaviest load you can pull for 3 clean reps. One mark: the Army's maximum. | 350 lb (159 kg) | 220 lb (100 kg) |
| Hand-release push-upsMax reps in 2 minutes. Chest to the floor, hands lift off, then press. | 40 to pass · 59 max | 15 to pass · 43 max |
| PlankForearm plank, held. One scale for every soldier. | 1:10 to pass · 3:20 max | 1:10 to pass · 3:20 max |
| 2-mile runTimed. | 20:44 to pass · 13:42 max | 22:59 to pass · 15:51 max |
The hand-release push-up pass marks are set by Logic Workout: the Army's own minimum can be cleared in well under the two minutes the event allows. The fifth event, Sprint-Drag-Carry, needs a 90 lb sled and two 40 lb kettlebells, so it is not included. Logic Workout uses the Army Fitness Test's published events and scales and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the U.S. Army.
Body map
Every event, on your body
Between them the four events load most of the body: the posterior chain on the deadlift, chest and arms on the push-ups, the trunk on the plank, the legs on the run. The test's body map shows which muscles each one works, and colours them as you log.
So when one event falls short, you can see the muscles it depends on — and train them.

How it works
Test. Train the gap. Retest.
The four events test the whole body, not one muscle. That is what Logic Workout trains: the whole chain near its limit at once, at low load.
-
Log the four events
The deadlift weight in kg or lb, your push-up reps, your plank time, your two-mile time.
-
See pass or fail
Each event is marked Failed, Pass or Aced, and the test counts how many targets you have cleared.
-
Train it in Logic Workout
Open any event: focus on one muscle it leans on, or take its preparation workout — everything it needs in one session.
-
Retest
Log it again whenever you want. The Evolution chart shows the gap closing.
Common questions
What are the Army Fitness Test standards?
The Army Fitness Test has five events — 3-rep max deadlift, hand-release push-ups, Sprint-Drag-Carry, plank and two-mile run — scored on separate scales for women and men. On the Army's scales for the 37–41 age band, a max score takes a 350 lb deadlift for men and 220 lb for women, 59 and 43 hand-release push-ups, a 3:20 plank for both, and a two-mile run in 13:42 for men and 15:51 for women.
Is the test adjusted for my age?
No. The app uses the Army's scales for one age band, 37–41, for everyone. Logic Workout's other tests do not adjust for age either: they are scored by gender.
Why is Sprint-Drag-Carry missing?
It needs a 90 lb sled and two 40 lb kettlebells. The four events in the app need a barbell, a floor and somewhere to run.
Is this the official Army Fitness Test?
No. It uses the Army Fitness Test's published events and scoring scales, so you can measure yourself against them. Logic Workout is not affiliated with or endorsed by the U.S. Army.
